Goggin Rental

The rental rates are decent, and the staff are friendly and courteous. I'm rating at 3 stars because I rented a stump grinder that was sent out with dull teeth. I had multiple stumps to do ranging from 6" to 12". I spent twice the time grinding the stumps than what it should've taken. The machine hung up frequently. I had to make smaller passes than what you would normally make when operating a grinder, and still, the wheel would hang up. I mentioned this to one of the staff when I dropped the machine back off. Very dissatisfied. If I rent from them again I'll be checking the equipment before it leaves the lot.

Be careful renting from them. I rented a nifty lift for $1,175 for the week, plus $180 for delivery and $95.40 in sales tax. Three days in, it had a hydraulic leak making it unusable and completely staining my neighbor's driveway and mine. I know they had just fixed a hydraulic leak before dropping it off, which must not have been fixed properly. Instead of estimating the cost from the weekly rate, they did it from the daily rate so they wouldn't have to issue a refund as much. I should have been charged $504 (1,175 divided by 7 days, then times that by 3 days of use) for the 3-day rental. Instead, they charged me $859 for the 3-day rental. They should also have refunded some of the sales tax, but that didn’t happen either. I asked them to clean both driveways, but they refused and waived the $180 delivery fee. Now I'm stuck trying to find a company to remove the oil from the two driveways and a sidewalk. They will rent you faulty equipment, and then you will be stuck with an unfair bill and damage to your property.

I've rented equipment from Goggin a few times, and the staff treated me right each time. They even delivered equipment on a trailer to my home in Battle Creek! The items I rented were in good condition, worked well and got the job done! When I had questions about pricing and how to use the equipment, I simply called and the staff helped me over the phone. I'd recommend this place for tool/equipment rental.

Best deals and prices around. Very friendly and understanding the lady upfront named Lacey is such a sweetheart. Guys outside are fast with loading/hooking the equipment up. Highly recommended!
